If you’re reading this, chances are you like sports and things about sports, well this my friend is about sports (mostly).
My name is actually spelled Kalib Amos, usually people with normal parents spell it Caleb. However if you were born in the last 30 years, there’s a good chance your parents also tried to be cool or funky with how they spelled your name. I fully believe my dad smoked a ton of weed in the 90’s and thus my name appears the way it does.
As you can guess, people have mispronounced my name on a daily basis as long as i can remember, so now its kind of a nickname. Being born in 1991, right around the time of Operation Desert Storm, my parents got a lot of looks when I was in the hospital as a baby and they would announce my name over the loud speaker as “Kaleeb Amaas”. I also work with a lot of people of Arabic descent, and commonly get the question “where are you from?” sadly I’m from Columbus, Ohio, not some exotic far away land.
Like I mentioned above Columbus, Ohio is my home. Born and raised in the heartland, THE Buckeye state, don’t worry I hate when they say that too. Speaking of that, a reason i call this “random” sports is because my team affiliations are just that, random.

MLB – Cleveland Indians
NHL – Columbus Blue Jackets
MLS – Columbus Crew, I guess.

A little more about me, I’m approaching my 30’s and deathly terrified. I started this Blog because i have all the time in the world at work to talk about the thoughts I gather throughout the week. Also, i watch sports and movies, as well as scroll Twitter constantly so hopefully my random thoughts amuse you or at least kill 5 minutes of your time. I play golf pretty regularly, recreational softball, I’m also a part of an beer league Volleyball team. Maybe every once in a while I’ll talk about outdoorsy activities, or any one of my 7 nieces and nephews. Who knows?
